DocNavy — Privacy Policy

What we collect

Nothing. DocNavy has no server, no account system, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no crash-reporting SDK. The app makes no network connections to process your documents — conversion and OCR run entirely on-device using Apple's frameworks.

Your documents

Files you convert are read from the location you choose and written back to a folder you choose, on your device. DocNavy stores its own settings and a local library index (file names, page counts, conversion status) in the app's private container. This data stays on your device and is deleted when you delete the app.

Permissions

DocNavy only asks for what a conversion needs: access to the files and folders you explicitly pick (via the system file picker, drag & drop, or the share sheet), and camera access only if you use document scanning. Both are handled by the operating system; DocNavy never sees anything you did not explicitly hand it.

Purchases

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. DocNavy verifies your entitlement locally via StoreKit and receives no payment details.

Third parties

DocNavy shares no user data with any third party, because it collects none and sends nothing off the device. There is no analytics provider, no advertising network, no cloud processor and no AI service involved in any conversion. The only company that ever receives anything related to your use of DocNavy is Apple, and only for the purchase itself — handled entirely by the App Store, never by us.

Retention, deletion, and your choices

Everything DocNavy stores — your settings, the local library index, converted Markdown files and any temporary working files — is written only to your own device. Temporary working files are removed as soon as a conversion finishes. Settings and the library index are removed when you delete the app. Converted files are yours: they stay wherever you saved them until you delete them.

Because no data is ever collected or transmitted, there is nothing for us to retain, nothing to request deletion of, and no consent to withdraw. You can revoke DocNavy's access to any file or folder at any time in the operating system's own settings, and the app will simply ask again the next time it needs access.

Verification

You can verify these claims yourself: the App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected", and the app's privacy manifest (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy) declares no collected data types. On iOS, the App Privacy Report (Settings › Privacy & Security) will show an empty network-domain list for DocNavy.
